Who likes the change in seasons? I certainly do.
Yes, the change in seasons is a beautiful and natural phenomenon. As summer transitions into fall, Fall into winter. We often see a shift in weather, with cooler temperatures, falling leaves, and a change in the colors of the landscape. Fall is a time when many people enjoy activities like apple picking, hiking, and savoring the flavors of pumpkin spice and warm beverages. It’s a season filled with its own unique charm and opportunities for outdoor and indoor enjoyment. Now the time between fall and Holiday season is upon us.
So much is happening locally with all the Businesses and Holiday bazaars
These businesses and events are a great opportunity to support local artisans and small businesses in our area. Nothing is better than a nice homemade item either on the tree or under the tree. Gifts that will be treasured forever. There is so much talent in and around The Dalles. Please join us and shop locally. The businesses and talented folks at these bazaars do really appreciate it, and just think if everyone supports these businesses now, they will be here next spring. We will be able to see all of the new and exciting items they have created and display in their shops. LET’S SHOP LOCAL!!!
Parades, did I say Parades. We have two amazing Parades this month. The Chamber would love to have a record number of floats and spectators. How special it would be seeing the smiles on the Veterans faces as the floats pass by. Please celebrate with the community on November 11th with a wonderful Parade.
Veterans Day ~ Parade November 11th at 11:00 This is a significant event that honors and pays tribute to our veterans who have served their country in so many ways. Put some of your creative ideas together for your Patriotic themed float.
Starlight Parade & Tree Lighting ~ November 24th This year’s theme “Hollywood Holiday Classics - Memories on Parade” suggests a festive and nostalgic atmosphere. This includes a parade featuring floats, and community groups decorated classic movies and in holiday-themed displays. The tree lighting ceremony is a special moment where the community gathers at the Chamber to illuminate the holiday tree, marking the beginning of the holiday season.
